Today, since now is still 23:59pm :p, is the 1st day my company in Sg starts our 4 days week off day. As of current, I'm still having mixed feelings on this arrangement. I do understand the economy is not doing well and also most of the companies in the world are taking some measures. Yet, it would mean that I have lesser to spend and also lesser to save (not that I save a lot :p). Besides this, with this extra "non-working" day, it would meant that I would have more time for myself to do the things I wanted to do.
Actually I wanted to blog about a lot of stuffs but had been procastinating. I know it is bad, but haizzz..... the 4 letter word which is best used now is LAZY.
The list I had wanted to blog would be as below (mayb some of it I had forgotten)
1) Bought "The Malay Dilemma" written by Dr M. Have not finish reading cause it may be too dry to go through at one time. But then there are arguments which are quite interesting and some of it may not have crossed our minds. Yet, there are points which as of current, I think are too shallow and contradictin. Besides, there are also points which I think can be considered cheap shots to the other races
2) A lot of feelings surfaced up at my trip back home to Penang for CNY. Missed my families a lot. And also missed my nieces & nephew. Wish I can go back for longer periods like during my Uni days. Haizz.... not possible currently
3) Wanted to comment on the whole world's situation. Was pondering about the financial institutions which seems to be collapsing everywhere in the world and also the whole Islam Vs Jewish.
4) The Political "jokes" happening in my home country. Views from my group of friends and how we think ALL politicians thinks that Malaysians are really STUPID and could not think at all. For those who had read from my old blog, I've commented that the current govt and the oppositions are in a situation of becoming a lesser of 2 devils only. Oh, also wanna comment on how I think most Malaysians do not think corruption is a bad things. The bad thing is the greed of more in the corruption and also the Non-Action taken after "eating" the money.
5) "He's Just Not That Into You" movie - Nice movie. Best watched with your other half. I think most of us would have been able to relate to at least 1 of the character in the movie.
6) "Marley and Me" movie (ongoing reading for the book) - Depends on how you want to view this movie. From the ratings given in newspapers, it is an average movie. Commented about how Marley the dog seems to be a supporting role instead of being a leading star. How Owen Wilson's and Jennifer Anistons acting are not "great" but just "mediocre" only. But, a HUGE BUT, based on the movie watcher's, I think this is a great movie. The movie brings to view of the ups and downs in a common family. I think the movie is great cause it is able to pull the viewers into the movie. Till how each of the family felt about the dog and the importance of this "freak dog" as a family member. I truly love the final part of the movie. For those critics, ya, the dog died, blah blah blah, nothing un-expected. BUT, go watch it for the sake of watching the show and you will be astonished by how the rich feelings/emotions in this movie have.
7) "Watchmen" movie - Though I've never read the comics, I've heard so much about how great the storyline are. I would say, not the greatest superhero movie but the twist of the "dark sides" of the superheroes are very refreshing. It's very different from the dark side of Batman and the power thirst of black Spiderman. Basically, the whole story does not even highlight/suggest if the superheroes do have any power at all except for Dr Manhattan (the blue guy with his little bro dangling throughout the show). [i really don't know how Bolehland's censorship board would ever release this movie out. mayb ppl in Malaysia would need to buy DVD in order to watch this show] However, the movie highlights the EGO of the US govt which had always thought that they represents Justice in this whole world.
8) "Suspect "X"" movie - A japanese investigation/mystery movie. Nice watch as well if you loves having to think in a movie. The ending is shocking. For those who love to "guess" the ending, you will most probably slap ur self in the head cause u got it wrong. And after the movie, u will ponder, how come u miss such an important and obvious clue given.
9) Have 2 new additions to my room; namely "Hihi"(HH) and "WhiteWater"(WW). They are our new pets, tortoises (terrapins to be exact). They have very different characters. WW is a glutton and active. HH is easily scared/shy. Will try to blog about them in more details
OMG. it's about 1 hr since i start this post. Hahaha.... I tot I was not gonna write a lot of stuff but still, it's 1 hr ald. Gotta go ald. Will be going to M'sia tomolo early in the morning. Haizzz.... long weekend but also a tirring weekend.
